About the series

Target audience: Children ages 6 to 9.

Lui (7 years old) and Bui (9 years old) are two brothers living in the Stone Age. They're bored of always playing with the same things, until one day a flying saucer appears out of nowhere, bringing them objects from the future they've never seen before. Unaware of the objects' uses, they end up inventing fun games with them.

 

Each episode revolves around a new object from the future left by Hazel, the flying saucer. The gang must discover what it is, how to use it, and, above all, how to play with it.

 

Lui & Bui is the brainchild of designer and animator Rodrigo Buzzetto, who was inspired by his children to develop the project concept. The series' main purpose is to foster a sense of play, encouraging the creation of games among friends as a way to contrast the passivity of screen time with the active creativity of physical, manual, and collective play. ​

 

The project is in the pre-production and fundraising phase, with approval through the PROAC ICMS (State of São Paulo) and Audiovisual Law (Ancine) incentive laws.
