Series "Lui & Bui" Approved by ANCINE for Fundraising through the Brazilian Audiovisual Law

Jun 24, 2025

Companies and individuals can now support the production.

Our children's animated series "Lui & Bui" has just taken an important step towards becoming a reality. The project has been officially approved by ANCINE (Brazilian National Film Agency) for fundraising through the Brazilian Audiovisual Law (Law No. 8.685/93), one of the main incentive mechanisms for the audiovisual sector in Brazil.

Aimed at children aged 6 to 9, the series follows the fun adventures of siblings Lui and Bui, who live in the Stone Age. Everything changes when a mysterious UFO appears, bringing objects from the future into their world. In each episode, the characters explore new ways to play, always with humor, creativity, and imagination.

With ANCINE’s approval, the project is now authorized to seek investments from companies and individuals interested in supporting the production. Investors will also be eligible for tax incentives by allocating part of their income tax to help finance the series.

According to the production team, this approval represents recognition of the project’s cultural and educational relevance. "‘Lui & Bui’ is a series that values children's inventiveness and promotes free play, rescuing the importance of creative games in an increasingly technological world," says the project’s management.

In addition to entertainment content, the series also focuses on accessibility initiatives and educational activities, such as workshops and public screenings, which will be made possible through complementary fundraising using other cultural incentive mechanisms.
